Problem: The original website was built on an outdated, unsupported system that posed security risks. Users also reported that materials were often outdated by the time they were posted, and the site’s keyword search failed to retrieve all relevant documents—making it difficult to find needed resources.
Solution: A collaborative UX redesign process was launched, starting with meetings involving research staff and grantees. Stakeholders were interviewed to identify core pain points, including delays in content updates, poor search functionality, and difficulty navigating to key documentation.
Result: The new site runs 10x faster than the original and addresses major usability concerns. Stakeholders now report that documentation is easier to find and more up to date. Search functionality has been significantly improved, restoring user confidence in the site’s reliability and relevance. The redesign also eliminated the original platform’s security vulnerabilities.
As an ongoing project of the American Council of Trustees and Alumni, What Will They Learn?® aims to encourage higher education institutions to strengthen their general education requirements.
This site underwent a redesign in 2019 and again in 2023. I led both efforts.
Problem: The website was not reaching the intended audience of college students and young professionals.
Solution: A fresh new look that a younger user could identify with.
Result: The website redesign has tested well with a younger market and is easier to digest, visually.
Problem: The website was static, delivering a wealth of knowledge but indigestible due to its poor UI.
Solution: Interactive charts and maps were added to the homepage along with a school search. A comparison tool was added to the school search.
Result: Users were drawn into the site with its interactive components. The site received a surge of new users.
I started as a freelance designer with Sanametrix in 2009. I built their original brand and logo. In 2012, Sanametrix hired me as their Lead Web Designer and Developer.

Solution: Upgrade the site from .net 4.5 to .net 8.

I'm a seasoned Product Designer with a background that bridges print and digital design. I started my career in print, where I developed a strong eye for layout and visual hierarchy. As the industry evolved, so did I, transitioning into web design and diving into HTML and CSS to stay ahead of the curve. My foundation in print made wireframing and high-fidelity mockups feel second nature, and I naturally gravitated toward designing thoughtful, user-friendly web applications.
Over the years, I've grown into lead roles that challenged me to strengthen my communication, collaboration, and empathy, especially while working closely with clients to bring their ideas to life. My curiosity and love for problem-solving led me deeper into the development side of things, where I've built a solid understanding of both front-end and back-end workflows. Partnering with developers has shaped the way I approach product design, balancing creativity with practical, scalable solutions.
When I'm not crafting digital experiences, you'll likely find me outdoors—recharging on a hiking trail or sketching ideas under a tree. Nature fuels my creativity, and I bring that same sense of clarity and purpose into every project I take on.
Problem: Recently laid off due to contract cancellations within the Department of Education.
Solution: Work on my skillsets while pursuing job leads.
